wGrowLABSAI VENTURE STUDIO

wGrow Labs/Founders

We are not looking for another AI idea. We are looking for an unfair understanding of a real problem.

Founders lead the company. We bring seed capital and a production engineering team from a supporting seat, as a minority partner. There are two ways in.

§ 01Two doors

Different starting points. The same build discipline.

Researchers and industry operators need different things from a lab. We start each venture from the side you're strongest on.

IPMODELEVIDENCEDOOR A · THE SCIENCE
Door A · Researchers & spinouts

You have the science.

You have research, IP or technical knowledge with commercial potential, perhaps after a university grant or translational programme. What you don't have is a product, a company or an engineering team.

  • We turn your specialist knowledge into software that can show how it reached an answer
  • Company formation, positioning and a pilot-ready product
  • We help you tell the science in language investors act on
COST / MONTHDOOR B · THE PROBLEM
Door B · Industry experts

You know the problem.

You have operating experience, customer access or specialist data around an expensive, recurring problem, but no CTO or technology organisation to build the answer.

  • An accountable technology partner from day one
  • We design AI into the product and its workflow from the start
  • A foundation your own future CTO can take over and extend

§ 02Door A · after the grant

The grant gets you to validated science. The difficult middle comes next.

Singapore is putting serious money into turning research into companies. Teams leave with validated science and often an IP licence, but without the production product, AI systems, go-to-market and investor story a Series A needs. That gap is where the lab works.

From validated science to a fundable company (illustrative)

§ 03Fit

We should talk if you have…

F1

A real problem and a credible buyer

You can explain who experiences the problem, why it matters, and why someone would invest money or effort to solve it.

F2

A domain advantage

You bring research, intellectual property, operating experience, customer access, specialised data, or an insight that is difficult to reproduce from a desk.

F3

A meaningful role for AI

AI improves the product, workflow, economics or decision quality in a way customers will value, not because the market currently rewards the label.

F4

The commitment to build

You want to create and lead a real company, test assumptions, listen to evidence and stay involved through the difficult early stages.

F5

A reason the lab can help

You need more than a cheque: a product team, company-building experience, market presence, commercial discipline or preparation for the next capital milestone.

F6

Domain depth without a technology team

You understand the science, workflow or customer deeply but have no CTO yet. We provide accountable technology leadership, engineering, infrastructure, security and operations while you build your own team.

You don't need everything in place.

We speak with founders at different early stages:

  1. 1A strong insight with early supporting evidence
  2. 2Research with commercial potential
  3. 3A prototype that needs a real product and company around it
  4. 4A pilot requiring stronger engineering and market positioning
  5. 5An early company preparing for wider growth and external capital

We may not be the right fit when…

  • The idea is a generic AI wrapper without a clear advantage
  • There is no identifiable customer or important use case
  • You only want outsourced software development
  • You only want funding and not an active building partner
  • You are unwilling to validate the idea with real users or operating evidence
  • You are not prepared to make a long-term commitment to the venture

§ 04 · What to share first

A short, non-confidential note is enough.

No polished deck needed. We care more about the quality of the problem, your connection to it and the evidence you can discuss.

  1. 01Who you are and why you understand this problem
  2. 02What problem you want to solve
  3. 03Who needs the solution
  4. 04Why current approaches are inadequate
  5. 05How AI creates an advantage
  6. 06What exists today
  7. 07What you need help with

Contacting us does not constitute an offer or commitment to invest. Please do not send trade secrets, unpublished IP, credentials or confidential technical information at this stage.

Begin the conversation

What important problem can you see more clearly than others?

You don't need a polished pitch deck. Send a short, non-confidential introduction: the problem, your connection to it, what exists today and what you want to build.

  1. 01

    Tell us the opportunity

The problem, who pays to solve it, and where you need help.

  2. 02

    We review the fit

Founder, problem, potential business, and where the lab can contribute meaningfully.

  3. 03

    A private conversation

If there may be a fit, we discuss expectations and a possible build plan.

Contacting us does not constitute an offer or commitment to invest. Please do not send trade secrets, unpublished IP, credentials or confidential technical information at this stage.
